Julie Flowerday holds a doctorate in Social Anthropology from the University of North Carolina-
Chapel Hill (1998) where she began studying, visualising and writing about the relationship of changing landscape and shifting knowledge. She has exhibited photographs at Lok Versa (Islamabad), the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies (London), the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill, NC), and Georgetown University (Washington, DC). Upcoming publications include "Changes Over Time" in the book Karakoram in Transition (June 2005), "Framing Change" in the Journal of Visual Communication (October 2005) and a forthcoming book titled, "Power lnforms Vision: Hunza in Treble Vision 1930s and 1990s".
