A set of postcards depicting interior and exterior views of the Omnia Hotel in Zermatt, Switzerland. Ali Tayar designed the hotel and the majority of its furnishings, incorporating modular architectural elements and glass curtain walls to give the hotel a light, open feel that connects the space to its awe-inspiring alpine surroundings. The Omnia is one of the few large-scale projects that incorporates both architectural and interior design schemes developed entirely by Tayar. Given control of every design element, from the finish of the indoor swimming pool deck to the inclusion of telescopes pointed at the Matterhorn in certain rooms, Tayar succeeded at creating a distinctly European interpretation of the classic mountain lodge that blends high-tech construction with a traditional connection to the Alpine environment.
