"The Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center of Rome is one of the outstanding contemporary mosques in Europe. It was designed by Sami Mousawi, Paolo Porteghesi, and Vittorio Gigliotti. The project is featured in a recent essay titled Tolerance and Peaceful Fusion of Cultures by Dr. Ashraf Salama in FAITH & FORM Magazine- May 2004 - Vol 37-No. 2. Faith and Form is the AIA Magazine of the IFRAA- Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture,  established in 1967 and is published since then as a nonprofit educational service to the professional, religious and lay communities.
