Al-Ghazal Club in Kuwait was established the year 1964 and it was originally a private club that consisted of a two-story restaurant and a swimming pool overlooking the Gulf shore, located about twenty kilometers south of Kuwait City. It also had some adjoining small residential motels. The club had to close during after the Gulf War in 1991 and remained closed until 1999. The comprehensive plan to rebuild and develop the club consist of two main parts: the front part facing the Gulf and it is allocated for the club with all its different facilities. The back part is allocated to a new exclusive hotel. The two main parts of the redevelopment project are separated by a street that is fifty meters wide. Architects Soheir Farid and Rami Dahan.
