This article searches for a rooted conception of ‘landscape’ even if there is no suitable translation in Arabic. Semi-structured interviews in the village of Ebel-es-Saqi in Lebanon reveals a spatially explicit conception that can inspire the discourse of landscape architecture, an emerging profession the region.
