The project is the renovation of extensive terraces, walkways, pools, and fountains of an early 20th-century palace that today houses a centre and museum for music. There are four components: the terraces and walkways were repaired and resurfaced, and drainage networks repaired; the walkways and basin of an Andalusian garden were restored using stone, marble, and original tileworks; the damaged ground-work in the bitter-orange tree promenade was repaired and the walkway re-paved in stone; and four new annex buildings (altogether 150 m2) were built to serve the museum and centre. Much of the walkway resurfacing was undertaken with weather-resistant concrete coloured to recall the original; where possible and affordable, natural stone and ceramic tiles were used to restore the originals.
