The restoration of 18th century orphange and school for use as a arts and culture center. Initial work involved study and excavation. Some sections that were fully or partially destroyed were reconstructed, among them the vaults, domes, and buttresses on the ground floor. Other areas were repaired, the details were re-crafted and replaced. The programme required the accommodation of a kitchen and sanitary facilities as well as the addition of new wings to house exhibitions, symposiums, and performances.
