This architect’s office was constructed as an informal and friendly work environment to encourage creative thought and activity. In addition to the office space, there is a gallery and a workshop that can also be used as a recreational space for the staff. The greenery of the surrounding residential neighbourhood is reflected in the ‘modern tropical’ design of the building, with many open spaces surrounding the building; glass walls to minimise the distance between indoor and outdoor space; a wire mesh skin on the library walls where plants can grow; and a roof garden with a seating area.
