This retreat allows nature to predominate in a community founded on trust and love. The landowner is also the coordinator of the project, prompting and participating in debates on the nature of an experiential architecture that is synonymous with the landscape. The architect’s role is to lead these discussions. The intention is to use local craftsmen to create ephemeral architecture out of rapidly grown, renewable materials. This constitutes the Bashita, or ‘human first’ area, inspiring a free and relaxing environment where man can live at one with nature. Buffer zones in the form of paths and open spaces separate the Bashita from the jungle.
