Aslıhan Demirtaş is a practicing architect and founder of KHORA Office based in İstanbul. 

ASLIHAN DEMİRTAŞ is a practicing architect based in Istanbul. Her practice is situated on and around the boundaries of disciplines engaged in making, often in the forms of buildings, landscapes, art and research projects. Aslıhan has an undergraduate degree from METU and a graduate degree from MIT with the support of the Aga Khan scholarship. Prior to establishing her own practice in New York, she worked for Pritzker Laureate I.M. Pei as the chief designer for the Museum of Islamic Arts in Doha, Qatar and the project designer and collaborator for the Miho Chapel in Japan. She is the recipient of the Graham Foundation Grant for her book Graft and is an active member of the Initiative for the Protection of the Historical Yedikule Urban Gardens in Istanbul. Aslıhan has taught at the New School and has lectured at GSD, Harvard, MIT, The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and American University in Beirut among others.
