Born in Tunisia in 1945, Ben Miled received his doctorate in architecture from the Insititute of Arhcitecture in Venice, Italy in 1973. From 1970-1973, he particpated six months in the year in the UNESCO project to preserve the Medina of Tunis. The was assistant to Carlo Scarpa at the University of Venice 1973-1974 where he taught design composition. As professor at ITAUT in Tunis, he was responsible for teaching the history of architecture and design composition. Ben Miled has realised many projects in Tunis since 1975 including housing, schools and hotels.
