The village of Dana (North) is located on the plain below Jebel Sheikh Barakat, distinguished from another village to the south of the same name. Several ancient structures were noted in travel accounts from the 19th and early 20th centuries, but the only surviving structure is a 3rd or 4th century CE canopied tomb in a small cemetery on the northern outskirts of the town. The tomb has a pyramid roof supported on four columns.
