Antonio Bravo Nieto

Antonio Bravo Nieto is a scholar known for his work on military and 19-20th century architecture in northern Morocco. He holds doctoral degree in Art History (1995) and has been a permanent member of the Fine Arts Academy of San Fernando since 2000, of History since 2001, and of the Fine Arts Academy of San Telmo since 2002. In 2004 he was named as official chronicler of the Autonomous City of Melilla (2004).

He has collaborated on numerous research projects with various universities and institutions including Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), the University of Malaga, National School of Architecture (ENA) of Tetuan, and the Mediterranean Culture Institute. He has also taken part in several research groups such as the Patrimoines Partagés Project (Euromed Heritage Project of the European Union), the Modern Architecture in the Mediterranean sources, characterization, preservation and the Architecture Beyond COST project).
He has received several research awards and a Europa Nostra certificate for his works related to restoration of cultural heritage.
