<p>A presentation by Kuukuwa Manful, Principal Investigator of the Building Early Accra Project discussed efforts to document architecture and urban development in <a href="https://www.archnet.org/authorities/3478" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Accra</a>, Ghana. <p>Nigerian architect, urban planner, and educator <a href="https://www.archnet.org/authorities/9513" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">David Aradeon</a> returns to the theme of his influential 11 February 1998 lecture with a reconsideration Nigerian architecture. The presentation was part of an online panel "Architecture: The Search for Identity, Justice &amp; Continuity," presented by <a href="https://www.archnet.org/authorities/9070" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">A3:Archives of African Architectures</a> and the <a href="https://www.archnet.org/authorities/7195" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Aga Khan Documentation Center</a>, MIT Libraries.</p>
<p>A presentation by Yudhishtir Raj Isar of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture on the preservation of built cultural heritage and the involvement of the community. Nigeria

Founded by Nigerian architect Baba Oladeji, the A3 is Lagos-based, collaborative effort to document African Architecture in all its variety, starting with Nigeria, and expanding out through collaborations across the continent. In 2019 A3 entered a partnership with the Aga Khan Documentation Center, MIT Libraries, to develop the collection, successfully obtaining a grant from the General Seed Fund of MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) to initiate the project.
