Founded by Nigerian architect
Baba Oladeji, the A3 is Lagos-based, collaborative effort to document African Architecture in all its variety, starting with Nigeria, and expanding out through collaborations across the continent. In 2019 A3 entered a partnership with the
Aga Khan Documentation Center,
MIT Libraries, to develop the collection, successfully obtaining a grant from the General Seed Fund of MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) to initiate the project.
