Between 1926 and 1960, Paul Collart and his wife Madeleine, compiled a series of 38 albums made with grey-blue card based on his travel in the Middle East and on specific work projects. The albums illustrate his interest in archaeology, history, nature, landscape and social life in the early 20th century.
The collection offers an overview of the photographic archive of Paul Collart from his several expeditions in North Africa, with a representative selection of black and white photographs related to Tunisia and Algeria. The Algeria – Tunisia album is composed of three different parts. This first part comprises a selection of 26 images extracted from Tunisia - Algeria (Part One of Three Parts).
