Documents in the Mohamed Makiya Archive related to a prosposal for the&nbsp;<a href="https://archnet.org/sites/14897" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Baghdad State Mosque</a>, a new congregational mosque to be built in the Iraqi capital.&nbsp;Makiya Associates was one of seven firms selected as finalists for the competition to design the mosque in 1982. Plans were submitted in 1983 for review.
