The Park is one of the biggest tourist and recreational attractions in the country. At its centre, an artificial lake, 7,200 m2 in area, featuring a waterfall running down from the hills, and spanned by a bridge, has a number of fountains and a large water display screen. There are also a number of children’s play areas, a theatre, extensive seating, family meeting and exhibition halls, sports complexes and parking. Commercial facilities include markets, hotels and restaurants. The Park has models of various historical places of the Kingdom in its gardens and it hosts an important annual rose festival, one highlight of which is a flower carpet spread over 750 m².
