This
house on a site of only 38 m2 in a crowded neighbourhood includes two
bedrooms, a bathroom and a laundry space on the first floor. On the ground
floor there is a dining room, a small bathroom, a small open terrace, storage
drawer stairs and a carport. Space-saving features include the use of glass
instead of brick for the separating walls of the bathroom (1.2 cm. instead of
15 cm.) and a cantilevered pantry table so the gap can be used as carport
space. A skylight is used to bring in natural light and a small reflecting
pool in the wooden deck helps cool the airflow in the house.
