Hari Parbat Fortification Walls
Srinagar, India

Hari Prabat is the name of a hill that rises to the north of Srinagar in the Vale of Kashmir. It is a sacred site to both Hindus and Muslims.

Mughal emperor Akbar constructed fortification walls on the hill at the end of the sixteenth century CE. The walls that stand today date to the nineteenth century CE, however.
