The bedesten (covered market hall) of Amasya is located on the right bank of the Yeşilırmak. It was founded in 1483/888 AH by Hüseyin Ağa, the head official and gatekeeper (büyük ağa or kapıağası) at the Ottoman court under Bayezid II.

Amasya's bedesten is a square structure made of stone surmounted by four domes resting on octagonal drums.
