The Sirçali Madrasa, designed by Muhammad of Tus (Osman ibn Mehmet), is a two-story building centered around an open courtyard. The entrance is through a wide, decorated stone portal set in an otherwise plain exterior wall. As one passes through the central entrance there are large rooms on either side, and passages to stairways leading to the second floor. The courtyard is anchored at the far end by a large iwan decorated in turquoise and black tiles. Flanking the courtyard on either side are rooms for students. In recent years the second-story has been restored.
