Courtyard of Şehzâde Mosque (MEGT)
Istanbul, Türkiye
Evliya Çelebi describes the courtyard of the Şehzâde Mosque, at the center of which was a circular pool filled with sweet waters. The mosque was constructed by Sinan between 1543 and 1548, but the fountain was a later gift of Murad IV (1623–1640).
