The site is located at the very heart of Tetyushi, a town of about 12,000 in Tatarstan; this project is the renovation of the existing park. Townspeople were involved in the process, and the first step was removal of all fencing to make the park truly public. The site features mature trees that were retained throughout; new areas were developed in the barren areas and include a children’s playground, recreation areas, walking paths, a summertime café and food stalls, and a performance area. The central promenade was enhanced; the existing grandstand was repaired and covered by a tent, with new seating installed around it. New paving, benches, plantings, furniture, lighting, and public toilet facilities were installed.
