The Islamic Center is symmetrically planned along the east-west axis of the sloping site. The domed prayer hall is reached through the main entrance on the west elevation. The adjacent community hall, that can also be used for Friday prayers, can be accessed through a second entrance on the eastern façade. The thin shell dome is supported on two layers of V-shaped concrete elements, each layer being crowned by a ring beam. The top layer is glazed in order to allow natural daylight to flood into the prayer hall. All other facilities, including ablutions and meeting rooms are accommodated in the semi-basement.
