A new 4-storey building serves the campus of an existing mixed-religion school and the larger, impoverished neighbourhood community. Together with an adjacent building that was refurbished, it contains dormitory rooms for children, an apartment-like facility for older girls, a teacher-training centre, classrooms for special needs students, science labs, a library, a dining hall, and a community medical clinic. The more public functions are located on the lower floors of the U-shaped plan that is organised around an open courtyard, while the upper floors are for private areas such as dormitory bedrooms and apartments. The reinforced-concrete structure has a double façade, the exterior formed by steel louvres, and inner walls that are glazed or built with concrete blocks.
