Located on the lagoon and built from recycled shipping containers that are stacked and cantilevered, the three-storey building contains a café and storage and production areas on the ground floor, a grocery store on the first floor, and a restaurant overlooking the lagoon on the uppermost floor. A steel-frame structure stabilises the containers that are stacked irregularly and often partially cut-out. The geometric steel structure of the front façade is wrapped in steel-mesh that contains planters, and interior and exterior landscaping is an important component of the project design. Inside, vertical circulation is via steel stairs with timber treads; panels of woven raffia are used for interior ceilings.
