1959-62 Survey

Called Round Well II of Tughluqābād Fort. Located in the center of the fort’s city area, slightly to the west. Grid ref. J-13

This well is badly collapsed, and there are just some traces of crushed stone construction remaining of the interior section from the south to the southeast. Here there are two blind arches of differing heights. From the arc of the remaining section, it can be supposed that the well originally had a diameter of nearly 9 m. The crushed stone scattered in the earth surface indicates that the well also originally had around it stone paving approximately 4.5 m wide, of which a certain part extended further out into a fan shape. この井戸は,現在では,著しく崩壊しているが,南から南東の部分にわたって,その内側に,わずかに割り石の構築のあとがのこっている。この部分には,高さを異にした,アーチ型の二つの龕が認められる。この部分の曲線から復元してみると,この井戸は,本来,直径約9メートルに近いものであったと推定される。地表に散在する割り石の状況からみて,この井戸の周囲には,幅約4.5メートルの石敷きがあり,その一部が,さらに,扇型に外側に突出するかたちとなっていたことが知られる。第Ⅱ期。

2015-18 Survey

This area has become urbanized, and the well could not be found. On his map, Shokoohy identifies six wells inside the city of Tughluqabad and provides a photo of W6. On this map, W3 is located in the northwest part of the intersection. According to Delhi, it was quite a large-scale well, with an inner diameter of 9m and an outer diameter of 18m. It had fan-shaped projections on the inside and outside.

現在は、市街地となり、確認することはできなかった。Shokoohyは市街地図の中に、Tughluqabad市内の6つの井戸の位置を記載し、W6の写真を掲載する。Shokoohyの地図上でW3は交差点の北西部にある。『デリー』の記述によると、内径9m外径18mとかなり大規模で、内外に扇型の突出部を設ける。
