This tourist complex provides access to an unusually beautiful underground environment. Jeita Grotto was discovered in 1958 and is located 18km northeast of Beirut. The complex comprises of a lower grotto with an underground river and upper galleries. The main work of the design was to create a S-shaped tunnel to provide a series of walkways that follow the contour of the site without disturbing the natural surroundings.
