The Hathiya Pol, or Elephant Gate, is the imperial entrance to the Fatehpur Sikri complex. It is fortified, and has a naqqar khana, or drum-chamber where music could be performed for ceremonial entrances.
Known as the Sangin Burj or 'Massy Bastion,' the Burj constitutes part of the Hathi Pol. It is broad and squat, and dominates the northern approach to the palace precincts.
