The overall massing and layout of this structure follows Malaysian mosques prototypes. The three-storey high prayer hall forms the core of the building on either side of which rises the two-storey annexes housing the administration and offices. These annexes are accessible from lateral exterior stairs. The main prayer hall is covered by a large bulbous dome on a low drum and can be reached from the street through an arched porch placed at the top of monumental flight of stairs.
