Orangi Upgrading Project Research and Training Institute

The Orangi Project was established in 1980 with the objective of understanding the problems of Orangi Township, a high-density slum, and to develop models that overcome the financial and institutional constraints. In 1988 the Orangi Project-Research & Training Institute was formed to address issues of housing, sanitation, education, micro-credit, and training.
