In this renovation of a modern house, hollow brick infill walls were replaced with concrete walls for better insulation, concrete roof slabs were coated with water-proof roofing materials and topped with thermal insulation and durable flat tiles. Chimneys, zinc flashing, gutters and downspouts were replaced. The building was also extended using similar materials and techniques.
