Iznik Foundation

Iznik, Türkiye

Renovation of a three-floor farmhouse to house an atelier on the ground floor and an exhibition/conference room on the top floor. The exterior walls are of red brick with two horizontal bands composed of hand-crafted blue tiles. Existing walls and wood structures were mostly left in place, but were reinforced with concrete elements to ensure better resistance against earthquakes.
