The project consists of five massive forms composed of thick, slightly concave walls facing each other around an imaginary and irregular polygon. They are diagonally cut away around the base as though eroded, such that only a small part of their total lenghts serves as a support. The elements which bear an inscription relating to the history of the battle are intended to form an integral part of the landscape. The walls are not formally set on a base but grow out from the natural landscape.
