Arg-i Karim Khan

Construction of the Arg-i Karim Khan began in 1766/1180AH. The design of the arg (citadel) combines military and residential architecture.  During the Zand dynasty it served as the living quarters for Karim Khan.  Later, during the Qajar period, it was  the governor's seat.  The site is now a museum overseen by the Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization.
