A three-storey c. 82.5 sq.m house that uses living eucalyptus trees as its basic load-bearing structure (one tree per corner). Walls are of treated mud plastered onto eucalyptus fillers. Flooring is timber plank laid on eucalyptus supports and covered with animal hide. The roof is corrugated sheet. Built for USD 36 per sq m (by a carpenter plus two helpers over five weeks), this experimental structure is conceived as a potential mass housing solution.
