Restoration project of an Ottoman military building into a museum. Work on the one-storey rectangular structure was initiated by the soldiers and then continued in the late 1980s with funding from the Ministry of Culture. Repair work was carried out on the three exhibition halls and chimneys, and electrical installations were relocated under the newly re-plastered walls. The building's exterior was repainted in the original yellow and white, and the floors were resurfaced in terra-cotta and ceramic tiles. Craftsmen also reproduced traditional wrought iron accessories for the doors and windows.
