Market Hall Youth Centre

Conversion of a disused 1930s market hall into a shopping, entertainment and cultural centre. Brick manufacture is a mainstay of local industry, so naturally brick was used for internal and external non-load-bearing walls, as well as for ornamentation. The main space is spanned with a timber truss roof, whereas the shops are covered with concrete slab.
