The Ghulam Nabi house, which dates from the turn of the century, was in a poor state of repair when the owner approached the AKTC old city team in 2003 with a view to re-building the entire structure. Adjoining the Amin house, whose conservation was undertaken with AKTC support in 2003/4, technical advice and limited material inputs were provided to Ghulam Nabi for a self-managed process of reconstruction.
