The Shekeba house is a fine example of a small early twentieth century family home, with fine carved timber and moulded plaster decoration. Having long been subdivided and let out, the house was in a poor state of repair when surveyed in 2003. The conservation of the house, which entailed the reconstruction of an entire timber screen on the south courtyard elevation, was completed in spring 2006, when the property was handed back to its owners.
