This visitor centre offers a hilltop vantage point from which to appreciate the vast scale of Birecik Dam, as well as an opportunity to view artefacts salvaged from the ancient city of Zeugma, now partly submerged under its waters. A vertical distribution of spaces takes advantage of the slope of the site. From the entry-level display hall, visitors progress upwards to a lecture hall, VIP and general public viewing halls, and services (including kitchen and WCs). The structure is generally of reinforced concrete.
