Designed as an office building and currently being utilised as a university, the structure underscores the client’s objective, and the architect’s goal, of creating a building that is adaptable to a wide variety of uses. Situated on the hills overlooking the Bosphorus, and built of conventional reinforced concrete it is a massive block much larger than its neighbors. However, it is not perceived as such by the passers-by, as only its narrow side is visible from the roadway. The exposed concrete walls, waffle ceilings and open floor plan characterise the design elements.
