This private residential apartment scheme is a joint venture project between two clients. The architect’s original design has been altered considerably by client demand. The steel framed ‘Iranian modern’ design is located in the Elahieh district and, typically, the accommodation includes two apartments per floor, accessed via a central core. Car parking is at basement level. The swimming pool opens onto a landscaped garden through full height doors. Facades are in local red brick laid, linearly, in gandomak stone similar to white travertine (polished/ hammered/ rough finishes), and aluminium panels. Horizontal lines and sliding doors give a ‘Japanese’ feel to the interior.
