Externally, the Justice Palace is a group of buildings behind walls, with traditional elements such as gates and towers. Internally, the use of columns, courtyards and narrow alleys which receive daylight, sometimes direct sunlight, remind one of traditional elements used in institutional buildings, or Mamluk houses of the Islamic era.
The Justice Palace is connected to the Great Mosque of Riyadh by a large public plaza. To the south of the Palace are three buildings housing the Riyadh Municipality, the Governorate, and Police HQ.
