Yakup HAZAN became a Professional Architect and Restoration Expert upon completing his post graduation studies in the Department of Restoration of the Faculty of Architecture of METU (Middle East Technical University), following graduation from the Department of Architecture ASAEA (Ankara State Academy of Engineering and Architecture). He was awarded with 8 First Prizes, and nearly 40 other rewards and mentions in various project competitions.

His first-place projects have been applied in his architectural life. They have included housing, bus terminals, official buildings, military structures, opera houses, cultural centres, airports, and tourist resorts. He has also carried out a number of survey and restoration projects.

His airport projects and applications have involved working with foreign advisors both within the country and abroad. He has been employed as an academician in the architectural faculties of various universities in Turkey. He is currently continuing this work in the Faculty of Architecture of Gazi University, Turkey. He has also served as a jury member in several architectural project competitions.
