Located in the centre of Doha’s popular Souq Waqif, the hotel is on a plot that contains three old Qatari houses built around 1930. The project concept respects all three structures, adding bridges to connect the three buildings. The hotel is characterized by high ceilings with traditional beams, open courtyards and lavish woodwork including carved doors-all have been preserved and the main building’s courtyard has a new staircase and water feature. All the courtyards have light covers to protect from sun and sandstorms, and wooden screens have been introduced throughout. The hotel has 25 rooms and suites, a courtyard restaurant, meeting rooms, a spa and gym, and a library and reading room.
