The architects' own apartment occupies the top two floors of a building they have designed. It combines the typology of the courtyard house with the concept of the pavilion - a space open on all sides, to allow maximum interaction with nature. The main construction materials are recycled: old brick and travertine marble (offcuts from a project completed in 1989). The timber formwork for the in situ concrete came from dismantling the container for the elevator installed in the building.
